Oct 13: Supreme Court decides to frame charge under contempt law against Mubashar Lucman, TV anchor, and Salman Iqbal, chief executive of ARY News channel over ‘anti-judiciary’ show hosted by the anchor.
Oct 18: PEMRA bans Mubashar Lucman’s ‘Kara Chuch’ talk show and also bars the anchor from appearing in ant show until a court order.
Oct 20: PEMRA suspends ARY News channe’s licence for 15 days and bans ‘Kara Sach’ show and anchor Mubashar Lucman from hosting any show appearing on any channel.

Oct 25: Tribal journalist Amirzada Wasal returns home safely 24 hours after he was reported missing. He says he was kidnapped at gunpoint while on his way home.
Oct 25: Viewers across several parts of Karachi and Hyderabad complained Saturday that they were unable to receive news channels on their cable TV connections for over two hours.
Oct 25: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon condemns the brutal action against all news channels in Karachi. Cable operators received threats from “mafia” to stop news channels for few hours.
Oct 26: Copies of Dawn newspapers torched in Sukkar.
Oct 28: Free-lance tribal journalist Shaharyar Mehsud is arrested in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province for writing articles on corruption in development projects being implemented in South Waziristan. Political administration of South Waziristan is alleged to be behind the arrest.
