Freedom Network supports the emerging non-legacy digital news outlets that produce public interest
content, by facilitating collaboration, helping with viability solutions, and assisting them in countering
disinformation. The initiatives include:
The alliance, a collective of 39 independent digital media platforms, was set up in November 2020
with Freedom Network’s support. The news and information produced by DigiMAP members has a
special focus on marginalized communities and human rights. Freedom Network helps the alliance
advocate for the rights and interests of digital journalists and the ecosystem of non-legacy digital news
