Under Pakistan Journalists Safety Coalition, Freedom Network built a coalition of journalists, civil
society, political forces and Commission on Status of Women, both federal and provincial, to engage
federal and provincial governments on making special laws to tackle deep-rooted impunity for crimes
against journalists and media by brining perpetrators of crimes to justice. PJSC has federal and
provincial chapter in each province and two laws – one at federal and other at provincial level in
Sindh province – have been possible after constant engagements with governments there.
